Name checked in the DCCU!

So, as we continue to build toward Batman V. Superman, it's interesting to see Kord industries get another name check!

In this graphic, from a Wired interview with Lex Luthor it looks like Ted Kord's company is #2 behind LexCorp in it's 2015 research and development budget...more than Stagg (Metamorpho), Queen (Green Arrow), Geshaft Krieg (Cyborg) and Wayne Enterprises (Batman). 

Does this mean we'll see Ted Kord and Blue Beetle in the DCCU (DC Cinematic Universe)? Will the military be using versions of the BUG or BBGun? We'll have to wait and see...in the meantime it's cool that Kord gets that kind of high profile mention!

Ted Kord Is Back! Forever Evil #7

Forgive the hasty scanning*...I know it's not the best quality. Hopefully I can update** with a better quality soon. In the meantime, here's what we've been waiting for Beetlemaniacs...the return of Ted Kord to the DCU!

Way back in October, in "Forever Evil" #1 we saw a business deal between Lex Luthor and Ted's dad, Thomas Kord, fall apart...resulting in Mr. Kord's death! Then in January Geoff Johns dropped the news that Ted would in fact return in "Forever Evil" #7

Today, after months of waiting we finally get our introduction to the new Ted!

Forever Evil #1

Ok, ok...I'm a little behind, I know. I recently went through a move, went on vacation, and just a couple days ago went in to the hospital for an operation. Now, I'm settled in and conscious enough to start digging through my read pile. Shag, from Firestorm Fan, tipped me off to this recently...but when I read this page I got pretty excited!*

Kord Industries exists in the New 52! Not just that, it's big enough, important enough, that Lex Luthor is trying to buy it?! Thomas Kord, the man speaking to Lex, even makes a reference to his son running the company "one day soon". He never calls Ted by name, and I wouldn't put it past DC to throw a curveball our way...but still...Kord Industries exists!

What do you think Beetlemaniacs? Will we see good ol' Ted soon?

*so excited I immediately stopped reading, took the above pic and wrote this post. I'm going to go finish reading now!
