Vintage Blue Beetle Advertising #1

How cool is this Beetlemaniacs? Blue Beetle temporary tattoos!
Based on the "comic favorites" listed, like supporting cast players Mike Mannigan and Joan Mason, this is clearly from the golden age era of Dan Garret (single "T")

  1. Whenever I see the old Blue Beetle's drab costume, I always think "Thank goodness Steve Ditko came along!" Not that I don't dig Dan Garret(t), but Ted Kord was to me a huge improvement in character concept and design.

  2. I do love the Ditko redesign, but I don't dislike the golden age outfit...I'll give you, it's simple, but I've definitely seen worse

  3. It's insane to imagine that at one point the Dan Garret iteration of Blue Beetle was successful enough to have temporary tattoos based on him and his supporting cast. Come to think of it, I wonder if Garret was far more popular back in the forties than Ted Kord or Jaime Reyes ever were. Especially considering that he was given his own radio show, and starred in multiple monthly titles simultaneously.
